not quite suburban, not quite rural.

A property that was once just another old house dotted down a busy back road headed out of the city has slowly been transformed into a blossoming little flower farm.

After countless daydreams that the perfect little farm lot in just the right corner of town would magically come into existence, Bandy Bloomery was born through the realization that we were already living on it, right where we were. It just happened to be a liiittle smaller than we might have pictured. And not at all what the typical "farm" looks like. Nonetheless, our shovels were in the ground the very next day. We're rural enough to tilt a nod to the occasional tractor that chugs on by, yet suburban enough to get some questioning glances from neighbors pulling into their garages while we smother the grass lawn with tarps, wrestle flyaway row covers, and spread (literal) tons of compost down neatly staked garden beds displayed across the front yard. 

Bandy Bloomery is an ode to the ever-growing community of micro-farms. Small but mighty. Tiny but bountiful. Reclaiming and redefining what farmland "should" look like, one suburban-ish yard at a time.
